The key question about retirement: “Will we have enough?”

Most people don’t even realise this is the question to ask:

40… It passed by faster than you’d care to admit.

And whilst life is hectic: kids, the house, work; it’s manageable only just. Yet you have found yourself thinking:

It’s less than 20 years until you’d like to retire. The idea of it once, ‘ages away’ is accelerating towards you  – wait, what.. I’ll be 60 when???

You’ve started to wonder:

“Will we even have enough money to afford the retirement lifestyle we want?”

This is THE question to be focused on – and it is what my financial planning services centre around.

When it comes to working with clients, my role in essence, boils down to 3 key actions:

  1. Help clients have the choice to retire at the age they want.
  2. Help clients afford the retirement lifestyle they want.
  3. Help clients avoid relying on the age pension

Financial Planning is about preparing for a retirement on your terms not the Government’s; relying on the pension.

Do we have enough in Super to retire when we want?

Will we have to work into our 70’s? Can we retire when we want? How much have we saved? Is it invested in the right things? Getting clear is the first step. From there, with a good plan and a bit of time it is possible to move you towards your retirement goals without feeling overwhelmed or ‘too far behind’.

What if something happened to us?

We never like to think about it, but bad things can happen. The tragedy is when they happen and create undue financial stress and worry; the emotional distress is enough. This does not need to be the case for those whom are properly prepared.  Protecting those you love is perhaps the most noble thing you can do.

What’s beyond us? The kids, grandkids – Your Legacy.

Planning for all the fun you can enjoy once work becomes optional is one of the great, fun things in financial planning. Enshrining your legacy, providing a leg up for the kids, helping the grandkids with advantages you yearned for as a youngster, these are just some of the key areas of your legacy. Plan today for multi-generational benefit.

Why Jarrod Bailey?

Not all financial planners were created equal

Focused on YOU

Maybe you want to spend your days fishing… Or perhaps it’s enjoying relaxing brunches at your favourite cafe mid-week.  What ‘retirement means to you is what matters. I build plans for clients who are driven BY and supportive OF their objectives. HOW you want to spend retirement shapes WHAT your will plan will look like.

Choosing to work with YOU

By running my own advisory firm and representing a privately held licence, I have the flexibility to be selective with whom I chose to work with.  Practically speaking, I only want to work with those whom I can most effectively serve and  help. I work with the clients I work with because I want to help them and believe I can make a difference.

In for the long haul

With a regulatory shake up, the planning industry has seen tough new education standards recently implemented. Consequently, it is estimated 40% of planners will leave the industry within 5-years.I meet and exceed the new education requirements and are glad they exist.
